AS Courses ~ Modules and Qualifications
Modules
We offer tutoring in the following four modules:

L1: Latin Language |

L2: Latin Literature |

CC2: Homer's Odyssey and Society |
|
CC3: Roman Society and Thought |
Any combination of two modules leads to an OCR AS Level qualification (see below).
Qualifications
The modules combine to lead to OCR AS Level qualifications as follows:

L1 + L2 = OCR AS Classics: Latin H039 |

CC2 + CC3 = OCR AS Classics: Classical Civilisation H041 |
|
L1 + CC2 = OCR AS Classics H038 |
|
L1 + CC3 = OCR AS Classics H038 |
|
L2 + CC2 = OCR AS Classics H038 |
|
L2 + CC3 = OCR AS Classics H038 |
i.e. two Latin modules lead to an AS in Latin, two Classical Civilisation modules lead to an AS in Classical Civilisation and one Latin and one Classical Civilisation module lead to an AS in Classics.
Thinking of progressing to A2?
Bear in mind that for a complete A level qualification, a student needs to pass two modules as AS level and two modules at A2. The modules you take a AS may affect the title of your qualification at A2.
